Inclusion Excellence Student Spotlight : Livia Epnett

Livia Epnett is a Criminal Justice Studies major working on a Double Dawg in the UGA Master of Public Administration program. Livia’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is evident in her campus and community involvements. In her work as president of the UGA chapter of Delta Phi Lambda, an Asian-interest sorority at UGA, Livia has cultivated relationships with numerous community partners, organizing volunteer opportunities with Books for Keeps, Project Safe, Northeast Georgia Food Bank, the Backpack Project of Athens, and the Boys and Girls Club of Athens.  Livia has also volunteered with UGA’s TRIO Student Support Services program since enrolling at UGA. She has taken leadership responsibility by serving as the secretary of the Student Executive Board and as a peer mentor for first-year students. Says Lastasia Ramsey, Senior Coordinator for TRIO Student Support Services & STEM-H, “In these roles, she exemplifies many first-generation students' commitment to being trailblazers for their communities and peers. She continuously thinks of the needs of others and seeks opportunities to make a lasting impact on the program.”  We are so proud to have Livia as one of our CJ majors making a difference for others here at UGA and in the Athens community!
