The Criminal Justice Studies Program offers an interdiscipinary academic (as opposed to practitioner) program of study. Courses that count for the major were identified and endorsed by the Criminal Justice Studies Executive Committee. While the majority of the courses come from Sociology and Poltical Science other disciplines such as Psychology and Communications Studies are also represented.

The primary reference for all academic requirements and coursework questions is the UGA Bulletin, where you can get program-specific information.

The university also maintains an archive of course syllabi which can be found at https://syllabus.uga.edu/Browse.aspx. Please note that these are final copies of syllabi that reflect what was covered in a class.

Provisional syllabi of what a professor intends to cover in the semester can often be found on the respective departmental web-sites or the professor's homepage.
