All internships undertaken for academic credit must be approved by both the host agency and the Criminal Justice Studies Program.  To be eligible for placement, a student must:

(1)  be in good academic standing (UGA GPA > 2.0).

(2) have an academic record with a 2.5 overall GPA and a 2.5 major GPA with no grade lower than a "C" in a major course. There should be no "incompletes" or class grades pending.

 (3)  have completed all other criminal justice major coursework.

Certain internships will often require (formally or informally) a higher GPA.

Because students will not be able to be employed or enrolled in additional classes during the internship semester, they must plan ahead financially and academically for the internship semester.
