This summer, faculty from SPIA and Franklin will launch a UGA-led study abroad program at Liverpool in Northwest England. Students will be housed in single occupancy rooms (with private bath) at the University of Liverpool, located in the city center and just a few blocks away from parks, restaurants, the waterfront, historical sites, and, of course, a Beatles museum. The program fee includes lodging, some meals, a trip to castles in Wales and a visit with the Birmingham police force. Scheduled from late June through mid-July, there is no conflict with existing Maymester classes. Open to any major, this program offers two courses that focus on crime and justice: one in political science and the other in sociology. Both courses will "count" towards the cj major.
